Thanks for visiting my Doyle for Congress campaign website. I hope that you will find this site to be a useful tool in helping you to gain a better understanding of my campaign for re-election to Congress. I've tried to include some information about my positions on important issues as well as some background about myself.

Now that the primary has passed, the general election is starting up and I look forward to running an active and energetic campaign this fall. I am a strong believer in the importance of a vital grass root effort in my campaigns and your help can truly make a difference!

Please notice that I have included on this site easy ways for you to get more involved in the campaign. Please let me know if you would be interested in volunteering some time on the campaign or displaying a lawn sign at your home or business. There are a number of ways that people throughout the district will be pitching in to help. And of course, I’ve also tried to make it easy for you to contribute to my efforts. A contribution of any size is always very helpful and greatly appreciated!

As you know, this is a very important election year and it is vital that you be sure to get out to vote on November 2nd! Since President Obama was inaugurated almost a year and a half ago, it has been a very busy time in Congress. We have accomplished a great deal ---- from the economic stimulus to a comprehensive health care reform ----- and that’s just to name a few. That is just one of the reasons this election is going to be so important. We must have a strong Democratic turnout to reinforce the fact that Americans want the type of progress and change President Obama and the Democrats are bringing to the country.

As you may also know, I will be facing a Republican challenger this year who comes from the far right wing of the Republican party, so my campaign will spread my message about the great progress we are making for people throughout the Pittsburgh region. Anything you can do to help me spread that message will be appreciated!

Serving in Congress is a tremendous privilege. As someone who was born and raised in Pittsburgh, I love having the opportunity to serve the people of our region and always do my best to represent you well. My love for the Pittsburgh region is as strong as I’m sure yours is, so I look forward to continuing to work together to make all of our towns, cities, and boroughs the very best they can be.
